VICTORY MYEL
My family have, from ancient times, walked a different road, seeking the deepest esoteric truths and trying to study the oldest roots of our faith, striving for word from beyond the Eve Gate. From elder times, my forefathers made their way to the fringes of the Empire, where to pursue their mystic vocations, while earning their living in manufacturing and mining. Fame and glory was not so much the goal of the Myel (M'el) line, as much as the desire for hidden truths. In this frame and purpose settling in Keba, a remote and forgotten system in Aridia, with imperial writs of administration in that far reach overseeing Keba quietly for generations (out of sight, out of mind), even while scouring the realms for dusty works of theology, learning of ancient theurgical and mystic schools of thought dating back to the earliest Empire and before.
With the passing of my father, Uriel Myel, I ascended to the role of Keban Administrator, finding it a mere token office, with little actual duties. I sought to make Keba a friendly and welcoming place, and also founded a knightly order, devoted to the Keban-Amarrian School of Esoteric Monotheism. With the goal of fighting evil and promoting a return to higher moral and altruistic ideals. Yet, with openness Keba quite quickly became a place of intense activitiy, under constant threat from pirates and dark capsuleer alliances. My son, Gavriel, departed Keba to explore the wider world, entering the war with the Minmatar; and at this same time, my wife Anutu-Ki died of a fading illness, falling into a deep sleep from which she did not awaken. Pirates and warring capsuleer alliances (also pirates), Aridia-wide instability and a near hault to commerce as a result, I felt it was time to move my family and my order to the Promised Land of Providence, long considered the sacred destiny of the Amarr (even as Aridia is held to be sacred by my ancestors who had the dream of creating a Mystocracy therein).
We came to Dihra and sought to engratiate ourselves to the local NRDS powers of the Providence region, but rather than altruism and high ideals, we found, to our dismay and ultimate destruction, a much more pragmatic, cynical, and even paranoid spirit than we had expected... Which spawned division and dissention among the ranks, and eventual dissolution. In that dark hour, however, Imperial Dreams reached out to us, and offered the Templar Remnant a home among them; and among them, that which was lacking among the other tribes of Providence, was seen to be alive and well.
Imperial Dreams is a corporation founded on the ideal of Guarding the dreams of the first Emperor, and of the Serifim who gave unto him the inspiration for that dream. The dream of a Holy Empire, and of a people specially chosen to evolve beyond mere mortality, and become homo-angelicus (angelic man).
Many are those who, guided by sordid mortal philosophies, born of corrupt hearts and nihilistic values, think to taint or undermine or outright destroy that dream; and CVA (Curitorus Veritatis - Personal Truth) exists to safeguard the divine vision and insure that the dream is never slain by or lost to the vile and the vulgar.
Egomaniacle sorts have, of late, arisen to decry the Empress, whom CVA views as "Chosen," and yet, their true goal is the death of Amarr as a faith and an Empire - ergo, the death of its very heart and soul. Without its faith, without its values, Amarr is but another nation among myriad nations of history beyond memory, having no meaning, no worth that is not temporal and vain, shallow and fleeting.
It is the Divine Anointing of the Amarrian Empire, among the innumerable humanistic and mundane copies of a trillion nations and empires come and gone, that sets it apart and gives it a uniqueness all its own... Without which we would be but clones of every other state that ever was or will be.
Our hardness, severity if you will, is founded only on the high intention and holy desire to bring all men to God, all mortals to immortal life beyond this plane of being. We war constantly with the wicked, with the corrupt, with the vain and dispotic, and the numbers of the true and faithful, the righteous guardians of the dream, are few, far outnumbered, often outgunned, but never utterly beaten.
Let not the light go out, lest the darkness of homo-demonicus claim all and blot out every lantern of the soul.
